The Kersey Eagles is currently planning a F.O.E. 727 Items Auction with items varying in value, but the sales goal is estimated and hoped for $3,000.00.  The auction includes the sale of an industrial 8 burner / 2 oven stove; free play pool table complete with accessories; stand up piano; Kersey Eagles regular and pink camouflage T shirts; FOE 727 dish sets containing a dinner plate, tea plate, and bowl; small business cash register; and two rip off ticket wall machines; two abstract peaceful paintings featuring the Fraternal Order of the Eagles; two long folding card tables; 12 table chairs with brown fabric and metal legs.  The auction will take place at the Kersey Eagles and more information will be provided as it is determined including drawing type, start and end time for the auction, door prize drawing time, and dates for online bidding.  Auction of items is open to anyone interested.  Kersey Eagles Club trustees will be pulling the random winning tickets.  A verbal auction requires each participant to sign into a handwritten log book with their name, address, phone number, and bidder number provided to each bidder upon entrance and the winner is required to provide the  name, address, and phone number written in the logbook when the employee will match the logbook information bidder number with the physical bidder number.  A photo identification may also be required and a signature from the winner.  The bidder with the last bid wins the item in a verbal auction, competing against other verbal bids as they are made, resulting in required presence to enter to bid and to claim your prize.  If the Silent Bid Auction is chosen, all participants will still fill out the log book upon entering and will receive a bidder identification number which will be used to identify each individual bid.  Bidders will place their offer on a plain piece of paper with their bidder identification number and deposit their offer into the bucket where the highest bidder- recognized only by a bidder identification number- wins the item.  If another bidder would like to receive a second chance bid on an item that was not won, a bidder may overbid the winning amount engaging into a possible verbal auction, again with the highest bidder winning the item.  If placing a silent bid online- message form, Email, or message is required to include name, address, phone number, Email address, birthdate, item bidding on, and bid amount.  A confirmation Email letter with a bidder number and payment options will be sent in return and bid won't be included until payment has been processed.  If an item should be won by an online bidder, further discussion and agreements will be made on picking up or delivery of the item(s).  A ticket auction will provide tickets for each item to be filled out by the purchaser including their name, address, phone number, and Email address.  The purchaser fills out that portion, rips off the auction detail half and submits the half filled out by the purchaser with all of the purchaser's contact information and place the auction ticket into the ticket bucket.  Any online raffle bids are required to include name, address, phone number, Email address, and the Auction item wanting to enter a chance for.  A confirmation Email will be sent with an Auction Ticket Number, description of item and monetary value, auction drawing date an time, procedures and policies for claiming any prizes, any rules and regulations pertaining to participating in this auction, and will include the organizations' contact information and gaming license number, as well as payment options.  The auction ticket will not be submitted until payment has been processed.  The auction ticket portion filled out also contains a ticket number which matches the auction detail half kept by the purchaser.  The detailed half contains the auction dates, date and time prizes are drawn, prize description and the monetary value, amount of time allowed to claim prize and the consequences of not claiming the prize, any rules and regulations pertaining to participating in the auction and claiming the prize, organization name, gambling license number of organization, contact information for organization conducting the auction, whether or not winner must be present to claim prize, and ticket number matching the ticket number submitted by the purchaser.  In the event that any items bid on through the internet win and the winner is unable to pick up the prize, an electronic acknowledgment of the win with an electronic signature including the bidding number or auction ticket number will be sent to the Email address and will need to be returned before any delivery process will begin.  The Kersey Eagles will call any item winner's not present during the drawings with notification of the win using the contact information given to them within 48 hours of drawing the winner as well as posting the winner on Facebook and Twitter.  If there is no correspondence 10 days after the F.O.E. 727 Items Auction between any winner and the club, no matter which method of bidding was used, a reminder notification by telephone, Email letter, and any other source of communication will be sent.  Any winner of any item will have 14 days from the date of notification to claim their prize and then another 14 days from then (28 days after date of notification) to remove the winning items from the club property or to make reasonable and agreed upon arrangements for removal.  A final attempt through telephone will be made 21 days after the winner was drawn when no communication is reached between winner and club officers.  An individual who has claimed their winnings, but have not had them removed by day 24 after the drawing will receive a reminder to remove the items using any contact method available to the club.  A letter will be sent by the post office, as well as an Email letter copy sent to the Email Address, on day 30 giving the individual 5 days to take possession of their items won in the auction on the date and including the price paid for the item, bidder identification number, and bidder contact information, then the Kersey Eagles would have every right to reclaim the items and would take that action as the prize claim procedure states a time frame of 30 days to pick up prizes, and completing the warning letter with hoping to solve the issue without resorting to taking back the items but would much rather come to an arrangement to suit both parties needs, finishing the letter with all forms of Kersey Eagle Club contact information to give the opportunity of communication.  7 days after the letters are sent, the items go back to belonging to the Kersey Eagles Club and another letter is sent through the post office explaining the decision to revert ownership of the prize items back to the club from the winner.  In the event assistance to remove an item from the building is required, the Kersey Eagles club will be available and able to help move any items with the understanding that the individuals helping are not professionals and will not be held accountable for any accidents while trying to do the right thing.  A receipt of acknowledgment that the complete prize won was received must be filled out completely and signed by both the club employee and the purchaser before the removal of any item.  The receipt is provided by the Kersey Eagles and protects all parties involved as the bidder receives the copy and the club keeps the original.  The 30 days to claim a winning prize is a state gaming standard and recommended regulation.  The club officers will be willing to compromise on this policy if need be.  All items being auctioned, sold, donated, or given as a free gift to any individual from the Kersey Eagles Club, during any auction or raffle are sold as-is with no guarantee and carries no warranties.  The Club will not be held responsible for items not controlled strictly by the F.O.E. 727 Club.  Complaints and grievances may be made pertaining to an item by using the website, sending a letter through the post DONATIONS ...

We are accepting donations for the reconstruction of our fire escape so the club, members, and community can use the upstairs again.

Donations are currently being accepted to repair the upstairs bar, kitchen, and restroom.

The Disaster Relief Fund is a charity directly linked to the Fraternal Order Of The Eagles organization and despurses the donations collected to the Fraternal Order Of The Eagles Aeries in locations where natural disasters have struck.  The Kersey Eagles would like to help out the fellow organizations and hope that the members would like to help, as well.

The club is asking all current members to help get the club back on it's feet through donations of money, volunteer work for events and functions, entertainment donations, and material donations during events, functions, parties, and entertainment.

As the officers and members are dedicating their time and effort into bringing business back to the Kersey Eagles and improving the business and clientele, the realization that the building on the outside is in desperate need of a new siding repair.  Donations are being accepted for any use of repair and maintenance to our building.

Help to sponsor a child who is unable to participate in the expensive extracurricular activities and community activities by contributing to the donations being collected.  For a one time donation of just the equivalent of most of the laborer's hourly wage in our community, a child's life can be changed, hopes can be lifted, and goals in life refocused.  The donation does  not go to the parent, but to the child who has no control over the financial status they were born into and raised in.  Every child should have an opportunity to participate in an activity and deserves the chance to benefit from the positive character development, perserverance to work hard and the desire to be a part of a team, train themselves to have the strength and will power to see a task through to the end without giving up even when it seems like the only way out, learn what it's like to work as a team knowing that they contributed to the performance and improvement of the team, and to experience the reward of working for something along with the hope of the possibility of success with every win experienced.  Facing the disappointment at knowing mistakes will happen and obstacles will block the path to achieving the goal so much effort had been devoted to and the realization that even when working together at what was thought to be the best ability of the team still required to be worked on and improved to overcome the inevitable mistakes and obstacles with every loss experienced.  Being in an extracurricular activity or a community activity teaches and shapes the children without them even realizing that they are learning things like: strategies to help them over the bumpy paths in life; how to work together with multiple people learning to depend on each other;  being able to identify and use  each individual in the group's strengths to get the job done the easiest and best way possible; exercises to maintain their strong traits while working on and improving the weaker traits; the will power to contribute until the end without giving up; choosing to work hard for the things needed and the requirement to keep working and constantly practicing to achieve the goals in life and getting back up to try a different way to succeed every time failure is encountered; people will never always agree with each other but just because someone's idea is different doesn't mean it won't work or that it isn't just as effective or even a better idea, so listen and give their way a chance; just as people have different ideas, everyone has their own way of doing things and getting things done- but just like the ideas, a different way doesn't mean it's wrong or won't work and try a new way before making a judgement, after all trying new things and learning new ways to get a job done is how a person adapts and learns and improves their knowledge and skills; always choose to participate in life just like activities- even if it isn't a strong area or something experienced in- because sitting out and watching others accomplish what needs done instead of participating themself leaves everyone else with the skills, experience, and chance to succeed and leaving them with nothing and no choice other than to always need somebody else to do all of the work and to carry the burden of the non-participators along with their own; people discover new things about themselves by trying new things and without trying the possible success can never be experienced;  and the wisdom to realize that failing and losing is to be expected but to push through the disappointment and work on the mistakes that are made to come back stronger, smarter, and more prepared because there will always be a next time or another turn since life never stops moving forward, only people stop moving forward.  Just think - by declining to sponsor a child deprived of an activity because of money, you could be preventing the next all star athlete, the next grammy winner, or the next motivational speaker who unites everyone with words and creating sympathy, understanding, and compassion for everyone by everyone.  But by sponsoring a child you could end up saving a child's life by giving a child who is headed for a life of unemployment and crime due to lack of nothing else to do as a child, these children meet up with each other since most other children are involved in a community activity or extra curricular activity and are focused on that, not home because they are at the program, or are hanging out with other children from the program they are involved in- leaving the children with nothing to do to stay together wandering the streets, getting into trouble, joining up and starting to hang out with older children who had nothing better to do than run the streets and continued to do so and as a result makes illegal money off the streets, found school to be boring with nothing to look forward to after school and eventually deciding school is stupid since the other kids who had no focus or activity led him to believe them, so the kid drops out and sticks around his friends with no potential and sinks down deep with no education, no chance at a job that will support him, a criminal background already stemming from childhood boredom and now continuing due to no other options.  So the older kids with no potential find the children on the street with nothing better to do and treat them the way he had been treated.  Suddenly one of the children is sponsored for an after school extra curricular activity and the child discovers he's interested in the activity, wants to do better at it, finds out he has to keep up good grades to remain in the program, and is suddenly focusing on schoolwork, spending his free time improving his skills needed for the extracurricular program, then finds himself looking forward to going to school just to get to the program after.  Other children in the program start asking him to hang out with them after the program and he realizes one day that he hasn't seen his old friends with nothing else to do and that he's happy living the life he has now- getting good grades, enjoying school, focusing on the program that he is succeeding in, and hanging out with other children with potential spreading the influence of a decent life onto him.  Without realizing his old street friend quit school, he hears about an accident where the friend was killed.  The friend he would have been with if he hadn't been sponsored for an after school activity that ended up changing his focus on life, priorities, and goals, resulting in the sponsor most likely saving his life and creating a productive member of society out of a child with no hope for a future.  Knowing the difference donating to assisting children by sponsoring them for an after school program, he now sponsors children after graduating college with a bachelor's degree that would have never been a reality if he hadn't received an athletic scholarship....  So, now does it seem to be more worth it to send a donation to an after school program, community activity, or an extra curricular activity to sponsor a child and give them a chance to enjoy a program that can completely turn their life around just by giving them something positive to focus on while developing skills, character traits, helping them to succeed in school by ending up in a program they enjoy but requires good grades forcing the child to study more and receive an education, introducing the child to children his age with the same interests and the ability to send a positive influence over the child who later become friends with positive goals and the potential to succeed at life as each friend encourages and helps the others.
